Questions, answered

What should I expect from the treatment? +

This is not a typical facial massage. Through slow, precise, intentional work on the face, neck and jaw, this treatment creates a deeply calming experience that can be felt through the whole body. It focuses on muscular release, circulation and lymphatic drainage to help your skin look brighter, less puffy and more defined. I work with your muscles — releasing tension through jaw, cheeks, temples, scalp and neck — so the face can soften and lift naturally. I improve circulation by promoting fresh blood flow to the skin, for a more nourished, healthy glow. I support lymphatic drainage, moving fluid and toxins out of the face to reduce puffiness and heaviness. Ultimately, the intention is to restore a sense of ease within — leaving you feeling softer and calmer.

Is this treatment just for how my face looks? +

Whilst you will definitely feel and see the benefit of a more sculpted and radiant face, this method works deeply into the connected fascia and nervous system throughout the body. It’s designed to support not just your face, but your whole system. By inviting the nervous system into a deeper parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) state, it can feel like a reset for both body and mind — calming, grounding and gently rejuvenating.

Who is this treatment good for? +

It is ideal for anyone holding tension in the face, jaw or neck, or anyone wanting a deeply calming treatment that helps them feel lighter, softer and more reset.

Will the treatment hurt? +

The treatment can include deeper work and manipulation in areas where tension is held, particularly around the jaw, but it should always feel manageable and tailored to your comfort.

Are there any no-no’s before your appointment? +

Please read the full list: Do not book your treatment within 3 weeks of having any facial aesthetic procedures such as Botox or fillers, as the massage may cause migration. Please ensure any facial piercings can be removed. Please allow 48 hours after any tattoo procedure. If you have any active cold sores, a skin infection or inflammation on the day, the treatment will be cancelled and is non-refundable.

How often should I come for a treatment? +

One session can feel like a beautiful reset and introduction to the work. Weekly sessions over a period of 6 weeks can support ongoing tension and stress, with the added bonus of visible sculpting effects. A short series (e.g. 3 sessions over 4–6 weeks) can be helpful if your neck, jaw and face have been tight for a while.

Is this treatment designed for specific medical conditions? +

Facial massage is not a medical, dental or physiotherapy treatment, and I don’t diagnose or treat specific conditions. What it can do is help reduce muscle tension around the jaw, neck and face, and support your body to move from “wired” toward more restful and regulated — complementing the care you may already receive from your dentist, physio or other practitioners. If you have TMJ issues, migraines or other diagnosed conditions, it’s always a good idea to talk with your healthcare provider about whether this kind of work is appropriate for you.
